RIG MEASUREMENT
- Hoist the mainsail to the highest point on the mast.
- Measure the luff length of the mainsail: run a tape measure along the aft face of the mast from the top of the boom to that highest point.
- Pull the mainsail to the outermost point on the boom.
- Measure the foot length of the mainsail: run a tape measure along the boom from the after-face of the mast to that outermost point.
- Measure the height along the front of the mast: run a tape measure from the highest halyard to the main deck.
- Measure the base of the foretriangle: run a tape measure along the deck from the forestay to the mast.
